I love that my kids love to snuggle. Maddox loves his baby sister. Miley is just getting old enough where she recognizes people. Her face lights up when she sees her brother. I love it when the snuggle together. Can you believe this little girl is already 5 months old??

Water Fight!

What do you do when you have a random Heat Wave? You have a water fight of course! A few days ago the temperature reached like 95 degrees. WAY to hot if you ask me. So Maddox and Aunt Kimmy grapped a few buckets and off they went to the pool to fill up on ammunition. Chaos soon after ensued.

Hoppy Easter Every Bunny!

YEEE Haw!

We love Clovis. Nothing is better than some good ol' fashioned fun. Clovis is a great place to live with plenty of family type things to do. We decided to head down to "old town" and watch the Annual Rodeo Parade. Its always fun to sit around and watch 500 horses walk by, countless floats, clowns, marching bands, etc etc.

Maddox Turns FOUR

Do I REALLY have a 4 year old? How on earth did that happen? Life seems to be flying by and I dont like it ONE BIT. Maddy's birthday was actually pretty mellow since he had a major party just a few days earlier. Donuts in the morning in our pajamas. Pizza for lunch with Grandma and Grandpa. Unfortunately, when it came time for dinner he ended up throwing up everywhere, so off to bed he went. Like I said, pretty mellow.

First Bites

We tried giving Miley some rice cereal. We added all kinds of fruits like applesauce, or even banana. Nothing worked. She hated it. Better luck next time.

Bounce This Way!

Maddox had his birthday party a few days before his actual birthday. A friend of mine runs a bounce house company and so she offered an AMAZING deal to rent a bounce house at a price I couldnt resist. However, a few days before the party we were informed that the bouncehouse had a hole in it, so we would be upgraded to a bounce slide at no extra cost. The slide was as tall as my parents house (literally) and was SOOOO much fun! I was SO excited! Even the adults had to get in on the action. Maddox had tons of friends over to celebrate with. He's got a great group of kids his age in his church class. Everyone had a GREAT time!!!

T Ball

Maddox FINALLY played T Ball this season. He was old enough last year, but mom and dad weren't on the ball enough to get him signed up. He has had a GREAT team this year. He has 4 other kids on his team who are members of the church and has had the best time! He's a great little athlete. He hits well, and LOVES to run after the grounders. He even gets mad if he isnt the one to get to the ball first.

Monterey Aquarium

This month's family activity was a trip to Monterey to visit my sister (and her family) and then go to the Aquarium. We had never been and we had heard that it was amazing. We could have spent all day there. Maddox loved exploring, and of course the weather on the coast was PERFECT. We had the best time!

PlaySchool

This school year Maddox was apart of a little preschool co-op. On this particular day, the gang came to our place for what Maddox calls "playschool". We learned about our teeth. The boys always have a great time together. Im glad Maddox has had this opportunity to be friends with such awesome boys!

The Zoo!

My mom wanted to take Maddox to the Zoo one afternoon. Miley and I decided to tag along. We had a great time!

A Day at the Park

We decided at the beginning of the year that each month we were going to do something together as a family. Now this may sound like something all families do, but the honest truth is that between our scheduals, it leaves VERY little time to just have fun. No interruptions. No one else. Just FUN. This month we decided it would be a day at the park. Followed by ice cream. SO simple, yet SO fun!

Miley's Blessing

What a WONDERFUL day! Family and friends came from near and far to join in this special day. It was so nice to all be together.

RSV

Miley got a nasty case of RSV. Actually, I guess it was pretty mild in comparison to what it could have been. She ended up in the hospital for 2 nights for breathing treatment and monitoring. Im not sure who had a harder time. Me or Miley?

Maddox Going Home

Since we delivered Miley in LA, Maddox needed to go back to Clovis with my family while I healed for a few days in the hospital. The morning he left, we gave Maddox a present. Actually, Miley gave him a present. We wanted Maddox to know how special he was, and how lucky Miley was that he was her big brother. So we got him the one thing he REALLY wanted. A pillow pet. We told him Miley brought it with her to give to him. He was in heaven. He was so excited that his little sister brought him a present, and something he always wanted. Even today, if you ask him where he got his pillowpet, he will tell you Miley got it for him. This is the first family picture we took, right before Maddox left with my family.

Christmas is ALMOST here!

We didnt get home from the hospital until just 1 week before Christmas. I had been in LA almost 2 weeks at this point, so to us it didnt even feel like Christmas. I wanted to make sure Christmas was still magical for Maddox, even though we had a newborn who was taking up a lot of our time. We made and decorated sugar cookies, made gingerbread houses, went down the old christmas tree lane, walked candy cane lane, and before we knew it, Christmas was here!
