Happy Halloween!

What a day! This morning I started the day by making some cupcakes. I was SO excited! My mom and I wanted to do something nice for our husbands work, and this was the best we could come up with.

On our way to the office to take the cupcakes, we decided to stop and get lunch for the boys. I set the cupcakes on the passanger seat while I got out to get the food. After, while I was loading Maddox into the car I threw my wallet onto the passenger seat so I would lose it.

This is what we ended up taking to the office for the boys.... lucky them. That night we had a lot of fun. Maddox of course screamed and threw a fit while we put his costume on, but once it was zipped up he did pretty good in it. We went to a church nearby that was having a HUGE carnival. My brother Austin and his girlfriend Jen also took her son Sheydon. The boys are about the same age so they had SOOO much fun together! Maddox was a puppy, Shey was a dragon, and me, my mom, and Mike we all mice. It ended up being a super fun night.

Getting Old.... The Big 2-6!

My hubby turns 26 today! Whoa! He's getting OLD!

Here's 26 reasons why I love him...

1)He has a tender heart

2) He writes little notes on the mirror for me to read in the morning, just to make me smile!

3) He's a goofy guy. He's not afraid to be silly, sometimes even a little too silly

4) He takes Maddox for a walk every morning so I can get an extra hour of sleep. 8)

5) He likes watching Disney movies. Especially if that means snuggling with Maddox

6) He likes what I cook, even if its really not that good.

7) Hes a good provider and works HARD.

8) He pays attention to detail. He can tell Ive had my hair trimmed, or changed the polish on my toes, even if I never mentioned a thing about it.

9) He sets a good example for Maddox. Saying prayers, fhe, and going to church are MUSTS, if not for ourselves then just for the simple fact of teaching Maddox

10) He knows everything about a nail salon. Most men know NOTHING about it, he can tell you the difference between a full set, fill and backfill. Its amazing.

11) Hes not afraid to meet new people. Im terrified and have a HARD time going out of my comfort zone. He has NO problem at all!

12) Hes the BEST cuddler.

13) He loves his parents and siblings SO much. He would do anything for them.

14) He makes the BEST hot cocoa.

15) He lets me pick out what hes going to wear when we go out.

16) He's encouraging and never has anything negative to say.

17.) He makes sacrifices for the sake of his family.

18) He watches chick flicks with me, even if he's rather watch a shoot 'em up kill 'em movie.

19) He calls me "Beautiful"

20) He sends me texts with movie quotes that he knows will make me laugh.

21) He lets me control the remote.... usually.

22) He knows all the primary songs, sort of. And if he doesnt know the words, he makes them up however he sees fit.

23) He caters to my every need when Im sick

24) He has a hard time keeping up with my anal-ness, (ya... I just made that word up) but he tries awefully hard to do his best.

25) He is a GREAT father. Always wrestling and playing with Maddox. They have a wonderful time together!

26) He's and even better husband.

Punkin Carving

Tonight we decided to carve the pumpkin we got for Maddy a couple weeks back. I really thought he would think that it was cool, but he hated it! We tried putting his hand in the pumpkin to feel the "guts" and he just pulled back and screamed. I guess I should have known. He has always hated getting dirty, especially his hands. Maybe next year he will get into it a little more. Heres hoping...

Pismo!

Every year we go to Pismo in October for family vacation. What a blast we had this year! Mike and I left a night early so we could get away for a bit, and the rest of the family came Friday! The weekend was filled with walks on the beach, teaching Maddy how to dig and build sand castles, clam chowder from Splash Cafe, lots of games, tickle time with Maddox and Shay, watching hours and hours of "House", and even a bonfire with smores! Yum! We even celebrated Mike's 26th birthday! Unfortunately I didnt get nearly as many pictures as I would have likes, but here are a couple of my favorites.

Punkin Patch

This year my mom, sister and I took Maddox to the pumkin patch. Maddox LOVED going through the little maze they had set up out of hay, and going on the bounce house. He ran round and round. What a fun night!

Target Fun!

Today Maddy and I went to Target with Grandma Wheeze. The trip was to buy some cheapie sweats for Maddy when we go to Pismo, but we ended up walking up and down the aisles for abotu 2 hours looking at toys and fun Halloween things. Of course, Maddox didnt want to sit in the cart. I let him out so he could walk we me through the aisles but he had another plan. He hopped on the end of the cart so Grandma could push him. He is too smart and WAY too brave! I dont think I was brave enough to stand on the end of the card til I was about 10. He thought he was SO cool holding on tight and letting Grandma push him. What a fun day!

Picnic at the Park

Yesterday we went to Mike's company picnic. It was so fun to play with Maddox at the park. We had a great time. It was a little cold but that didn't stop Maddox from being a madman on the playground. If this picture doesn't say "fun" to you, I dont know what does. At the end my dad gave suckers to all the kids. Maddox and Landon LOVED them! We had a great time!

The Big Big Big Big Big Fresno Fair!

Today we went to the Fresno Fair. We had SO much fun! It was Maddy's first time. There were so many people to watch and so many lights blinking from every direction that he didnt know where to look first. He was in heaven! We got him a little monkey harness so he didnt have to sit in his stroller the whole time. He LOVED it. He really liked the livestock section where we could go see al the baby piggies and the little lambies.

There was even a kids area with a huge pirate ship he could climb on. Mike was a little hungry so he thought he would get himself a little corndog. I think his eyes were bigger than his stomach.
It was Maddy's first time eating cotton candy. At first he wasnt too sure about it, but after just a few little bites he was in love!
We even played a fun game at the fairway. Mike won, so he got a prize. Before Maddy came along the stuffed animal would have been given to me, but of course now that Maddox is around he gets all the fun stuff. Mike couldnt have been more proud winning a stuffed turtle for his baby boy. We had SOOO much fun!

"Ya"

Maddy has learned a new word. He walks around all day saying "ya..... ya..... ya". I have to be honest its VERY refreshing since all I've heard for the last 3 months has been "no". I even had a little fun with it in Target. I knew he was on a roll saying "ya" about every 6 seconds so I would ask "do you love mom best?" and of course the answer would be "ya". "Does dad's feet smell?" once again he would respond "ya". I love it. He is growing up too fast! I can even have little conversations with him now. Its SOOO fun!
