You Have To Be Kidding Me!

Seems like everything is CRAZY expensive now.... My mother in law took Maddy to the mall a couple days ago for some shoes. The Burtons seem to have odd shaped feet so they tend to have to get "expensive" shoes so they fit right. I shop for Maddy's shoes at Target. $7.99 gets him some really cute shoes. They dont always fit exactly perfect, but they get the job done. My mother in law, however, insisted on getting him shoes that "fit properly". When she came back she said, "He better wear those. They were expensive". I thought, "how much could they have possibly been? 20 bucks TOPS! He is only a year old! "$45 " she told me. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Are you kidding me!?!?

This morning (like at 3am, trying to get a baby back to sleep) I was driving around and saw gas prices were at $4.13. Holy Crap! I drove by that same station around 11am this morning and it had jumped to $4.23. I drove by again at 2pm and it had gone up to $4.27!!! OHMYHECK!!!! You have to be kidding me!?!

Amazing Morning

I sure love and appreciate my husband. I had a facial appointment at 8am. I asked Mike if he would run to the store while I was gone to get some things for breakfast so I could make something for us when I got home. He took Maddox, went to the store, and when I came home from my facial breakfast was already made! Eggs, sausage, toast and even chocolate milk! This man spoils me! I sure love him!

2. How long have you been together? Almost 4 whole years!

3. How long dated? We dated for 3 months before we got engaged, but had a 9 month engagement.

4. How old is your man? 25... old huh!

5. Who eats more? MIKE! The kid never stops (although I come in a CLOSE second!)

6. Who said "I love you" first? Mike. We were getting ready to take a dresser back to Walmart for his brother. As we were loading it into the car he said "i love you". How romantic huh! lol

7. Who is taller? For sure Mike

8. Who sings better? Oh hands down me. No question.

9. Who is smarter? Depends on what it is. Sometimes I feel like I'm lightyears smarter, but then sometimes I listen to him and think "wow, i really gotta catch up on my studies!"

10. Who's temper is worse? Mine.

11. Who does the laundry? I usually am the one to get it washed and dried and onto our bed. Mike does a great job getting it into a pile on our floor and once in a while it gets put away!!

12. Who does the dishes? Both of us

13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do. Its closer to the door which means its closer to getting to the baby's room.

14. Who pays the bills? Me. Mike hasnt checked the mail in 4 years, let alone know what bills we have.

15. Who has bigger feet? Mike

17. Who is better with the computer? We are both pretty good.

18. Who mows the lawn? Never me. Thats for sure.

19. Who cooks dinner? Carl. Actually his son, Carls Jr.

20. Who drives when you are together? Mike usually. Sometimes Im stubborn though and want to drive.

21. Who pays when you go out? Usually me. Im the one with the cash.

22. Who is most stubborn? ME.

23. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? We are both pretty good at it.

24. Whose parents do you see the most? Mine, since we currently live with them.

25. Who kissed who first? Mike kissed me. He literally did some crazy wrestling mood he learned in High School and pinned me down..... I didnt really have much of a choice (but I sure didnt mind!)

26. Who asked who out? He asked me out, he called me like 12 times the morning after he got my number. I finally answered. I had a feeling this kid was never going away!

27. Who proposed? He did. It was wonderful.

28. Who is more sensitive? Mike. He is going to hate me for admitting this but he is the BEST to watch movies with. He seriously cries more than I do. He gets touched very easily. Its one of the things I love most about him.

29. Who has more friends? Mike. He makes friends with EVERYONE! He is one friendly guy!

30. Who has more siblings? Uh... I have two. But he has four half siblings.... You decide.

Baby Turner!

Yay! This afternoon my cousin and his wife had thier little baby Augustus George Turner! 5 lbs 6 oz 17 1'2 inches. Its quite a big name for such a little guy!! Congratulations!!!

I Guess It's About Time

Well, Ive been tagged twice, so I guess it's about time I do it. I tried to just ignore the first one, but when I saw the second one, I figured I needed to just give into the game.

The instructions are to describe yourself with words starting with the letters from your middle name like a Acrostic Poem. And then tag 3 friends.

Technically, at least on any record I don't have a middle name. However, when I got married the idea was to use my maiden name as my new middle name, so we will just go with that.

N ostalgic. I love taking pictures for memories sake. I very much enjoy catching up with old friends. Ive had a great life, and I love thinking about all the good times.

I ndependant. Sometimes a little too much for my own good. I have a hard time accepting help or recognizing that I even need any. I have a hard time letting go of things and so instead of asking for help Id rather do it myself and feel overwhelmed.

C rude. Im terrible at burping or talking about innapropriate things at the dinner table. Sometimes I really gotta watch myself.

O rganized. Maybe not at home, but when I have a calling or assignment I am extremely organized and pay complete attention to details.

L ister. OK I total just made that word up but Im goin with it. I very nuch enjoy making lists, just so I can cross them off. Makes me feel like I got something done and helps me analyze my progress.

L oyal. I try my hardest to be a loyal family member and friend. I forgive too often, serve by best, and overlook imperfections just for the sake of keeping the peace and preserving the relationship. Once youre a part of my life, youre a part of it forever.

S tressed. I have all too many meetings, assignments, responsibilites and obligations that have been all too overwhelming. Two nervous breakdowns in one week is normal right? I have to admit though, much of this stress is because of my independance, which you can read more about under "I" of this little game.
