Blessings

I think its about time for an update. So much has happened the last couple of weeks.

First of all, WE'RE MOVING! Mike and I have been thinking about moving out (its about time to get out of the parents house!) and have been looking for a place the last couple of weeks. We had decided that we really loved our old ward, and we really loved our old complex, so why not move back. We made an appointment to meet with the apartment manager, and we filled out our application and made the deposit. I have to admit, the day we went I had this gut feeling that Mike and I needed to say a prayer that we were being led in the right direction. Did I listen to the prompting? Of course not! But its a good thing we get second chances. After the manager showed us which apartment we would be in, I had this feeling I needed to go introduce myself to the neighbors. I acted on this prompting. As soon as I approached a neighbor she immediately started telling me all these things about the complex. All I said was "hi", and then the conversation sounded a little something like this...

Her "I am so glad you came back around to check out the apartment and talk to me. When I saw you driving around in the cart with the apartment manager my heart sunk because I knew I needed to tell you not to move here."
Me: "Oh really? Why?"
Her "This complex has really gone downhill. Ive lived here 4 years and Im breaking my lease to get out. I am a single mom with a 7 year old and its not safe anymore. Just recently a meth ring was busted up in the back of the complex and 2 days ago all 4 of my tires were slashed. The reason why your apartment is emptied is because the tenant was drug from her car as she was getting out and into another mans apartment and was assaulted. We warned management over and over again that the guy was a creeper but they wouldnt do anything about it. For the sake of your child, dont move here."

Ok so obviously it wasnt meant for us to be moving into the complex, but I have to admit, i was DEVISTATED! I thought we had everything figured out. Fortunately one of my clients tipped me off and told me about another great complex and when we checked it out we LOVED it! Its perfect, and gated, and will be awesome for us. I was telling another one of my clients about the complex we had chosen and she told me that her boyfriend lives 2 doors away from us, and hes a cop! She said most of the police department lives in my complex. This made me feel SO much better about choosing this complex, because one of our main concerns is safety. We are so excited! So now we will be in another ward, but we are excited for the change. Move out date is April 1! YAY!!!! We feel SO blessed!

Second big news is BABIES!! Not for us, but for my sister (and I guess her husband had a little bit to do with it) She is due the end of October, early November and we are SO excited! I think its going to be a little wierd not being pregnant together this time around, but we are ready for Maddox to have some cousins to play with! Congrats sissy!

Well ok, so I guess not that much has happened. Its just been such a rollercoaster I guess it seems like more has happened than really has. Oh well.

So glad to followed the second prompting! How crappy would that have been to be stuck in a contract? Congrats to your sis. Glad I got to see you at Me-n-eds and thanks so much for cute baby girl stuff! So when is Maddox going to have a sibling?

Holy Smokes! Is that Heather Court you're talking about? Let me know what complex you ended up going with because Art and I are looking for a place to move. I'm glad God knows that sometimes a whisper isn't enough and lays it out straight for us!
