Last Month...

Last month was a big month for us. We went on vacation for 8 days to Las Vegas (Mike refers to it as Lost Wages. That seems a little more appropriate for the locale) We had so much fun. Mike and I were able to go for a few days for a mini get-away. The next couple of days were spent at a convention at the MGM for Mike's work. The last couple of days Maddox came over and we spent that last few days having fun FuN FUN!

Mike and I only took 1 picture the entire 5 days we were there by ourself. I guess we were just too busy having fun to remember to take any pictures.

When Maddox came (thank goodness for in-laws who love Vegas too. They brought him over for the weekend) thats when the real fun began. We always have to stop at the Bass Pro Shop. The boys had a blast shooting the "guns".

Maddox also loves to go fishing. Pa Rae (Mike's dad) bought Maddy a fishing pole for his first Christmas (maddox was 8 months old. I suppose it's never to early to get 'em going!). Maddox is just big enough now to actually use it, and a good majority of summer evening was spent out by the Burton's pool. Maddox was take his fishing pole and cast it, and real it in. Over and over and over.... As adults we usually sit in awe of how good he is at it. I think most 3 year olds wouldn't have a clue how to cast. (It took ME a while to figure out), and yet he's a pro. Pa Rae agreed it was time to get Maddox to the lake. It was time to get Maddox his own life jacket. While wandering through Bass Pro Shop looking for the life jacket section, of course we had to stop and look at all the other fishing junk. There were so many different kinds of fake pastic wiggly fishes, Maddys little heart was as happy as can be. I love that Pa Rae and Maddox have this fun hobby in common.

The last full day we were there, Na Wez and Pa Rae wanted to take Maddy to Circus Circus to play games and win a punch of prizes. Na and Pa sure got into the games. They were ruthless. Always beating out the 4 and 5 year old kids, all for a stuffed animal to give to thier grandson. It was so fun watching them be so competitive!

What a GREAT trip!

No mention of your beautiful sister and how she took care of your son for 2 days while you and Mike were in Vegas? Rude! :)
