Yay! Sleep!

For the last year, Maddox has been sleeping in between Mike and I. At first we didnt mind, and even liked having our little boy right next to us. Lately though he has been a VERY fitful sleeper. This makes for long nights for me, and Mike had decided to sleep on a blow up matress by our bed for the last 2 weeks. NOT FUN! Saturday we decided enough was enough. It was time for Maddox to have a bed, not a crib. We hoped for the best. Saturday night he slept 6 hours in his bed, then came in and got in bed with us at 3am. BUT! Last night we put him down at 930 fully expecting a little boy in our bed by 2, and he slept through the night til 6!! Whoo hoo! On top of that he climbed in bed with us and slept another 3 hours! I got to sleep in til 9! That is HUGE! I am so sad my little boy is growing up, but SO excited to start a new chapter. One where I get some sleep!!! Yay for sleep!

Four Eyes

Thats right ladies and gentleman. I finally gave in....

Self Hair Cut

Its not suprising that my husband cuts his own hair. It consists of taking an electric razor to it. It really isnt too hard and has saved us tons of money the last couple of months as he has switched from salon hair, to self cut hair. Last week, he decided to "clean up his ears and collar". When he came home from his brothers (he has the razor) and showed me, this is what I saw.

I counseled him to shave his hair shorter so no one would notice. He declined. I counseled him to make an apppointment at the salon I go to so my lady could fix it. He declined. His answer "Its not THAT noticable!" Uh... ya it is. Hilarious!

'Twas the Night Before Elections...

THE NIGHT BEFORE ELECTIONS
Author Unknown

'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of the sudden
There arose such noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick with a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the sink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

"On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi"
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who woudln't stand up and fight!

So, I leave you to think
On this one final note -
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM
GET YOUR BUTT OUT AND VOTE!!!

Off to Nursery

Today was Maddy's first official day in Nursery. We couldnt have been more excited. To document the milestone, we got him a new outfit for church (he needed new winter church clothes anyways) and took a picture out in the front yard. Thankfully he LOVES going to nursery. He never cries and never misbehaves (at least yet). He is our special little boy and we love him SO much!

Maddox in a Box

We often times find Maddox in the strangest places. Some of the places he likes to climb into the most is the shoe basket by the front door, and little wagon we bought for him, or the bottom drawer in the kitchen where we keep all of his sippy cups, plates, etc. Tonight however, this is where I found him. He must have pulled it out of the trash. I just cant believe he fits!

Car Show

Mike had a little father and sons day outing with Maddox today. He took Maddy down to the convention center to see the car show. This was an especially fun trip for Maddox because he LOVES sitting in cars. They had the best time together!
